Spiritual Healing Techniques
The list of spiritual healing techniques that follow are adopted by the members of the Federation of Spiritual Healer Licensing Boards. These techniques may be used by licensed spiritual healers for spiritual healing purposes. If you have any questions please read our spiritual healing paradigm.
Types of Spiritual Healing
Spiritual healers teach their clients several different techniques to help them heal themselves. They also use several different techniques that take years to master and are not easily taught to others. Most spiritual healers learn several different techniques in both categories. They teach their clients how to use some techniques and they use techniques which are more difficult to master. These techniques generally fall into the following categories:
- Anointing with oil or essential oils
- Anointing with water, especially holy water
- Anointing with salves, ointments or other agents
- Immersing in water or water and oil
- Laying on of hands
- Meditation and contemplation
- Prayer, affirmations and chants or mantras
- Reading spiritual scripture
- Receiving and/or sending spiritual healing energy
- Spiritual cleansing of all kinds
- Spiritual Touch
- Washing of head, hands or feet
The Federation of Spiritual Healer Licensing Boards (FSHLB) has developed a list of accepted spiritual healing techniques that can be used by licensed spiritual healers. This list has been adopted by most spiritual healer licensing boards. If you practice any spiritual healing technique not listed on the FSHLB list of approved techniques, we suggest you ask your spiritual licensing board to consider petitioning the Federation to add that technique to their list.
